Diversified Technique
Our Chiropractors practice using a diversified technique. This involves a variety of manual therapies such as spinal & extremity manipulation, joint mobilizations, myofascial release, electrical modalities, activator, exercise rehabilitation and acupuncture.
Spinal Manipulation
Adjustments or spinal manipulations are the most commonly used chiropractic technique. It is the application of a high-velocity, low-amplitude thrust to specific, restricted joints in the spine. The purpose is to restore joint range of motion, reduce pain and aid in the healing of common mechanical injuries.
Acupuncture
Medical Acupuncture is an effective, pain-free treatment modality involving the insertion of very fine needles into specific points in the body. Acupuncture may be used in combination with electrical stimulation (“electro-acupuncture”). Benefits include decreased pain, reduction of inflammation, increase in blood flow, improvement in nerve conduction and reduced stress.
What to expect at your initial appointment
Upon arrival to the clinic you will be asked to complete intake forms. Your chiropractor will review these forms with you and ask additional health history questions. Your chiropractor will then perform a physical examination to determine a diagnosis and treatment plan. Following a discussion about your care, you will receive your first treatment. If a referral is necessary, the doctor will refer you to the appropriate provider.
